Live Wild & Free in 2020. Holiday cards are almost always thrown away. So we created this card to have a second life. Screenprinted on wildflower seed paper and perforated so the card may be torn up into small pieces and planted.

New Pencil Pushers T-Shirt Design and exploration.
The Downtown Santa Ana coworking space Batch is expanding to a new office. With the expansion some new walls opened up and needed to be filled. I worked with Sarah, founder of ANBCo and Batch, to concept and produce this custom lettering piece that graces the wall of the conference room. With all the gabbin' that can go down in meetings we came up with this idea to remind folks that in the end you need to produce and not just talk.
The final piece was router cut from sheets of foam and clocks in at a size about 95" x 85"

This custom lettered wall mural created originally as a sketch for a GoodType Tuesday prompt but ended up refining the design and painting it on the studio wall for 82 Degrees.
Adidas commissioned me to create artwork for a wall dividing the new employee game room in the Montgomery Park satellite office in Portland Oregon. The original goal was to have the artwork show through and read on both sides. After various iterations and structural revisions we ended up focusing on the center portion of the artwork to read the same on both sides. Two styles/treatments were executed with the theme “wake the game up.”

As part of a recent event focused on Hand Lettering, I was invited by Adobe to join a small group of lettering artists from across the US in San Francisco for 3 days of live streaming. I chose to show my process from hand sketching to vector digitizing with Adobe Illustrator.
Poster design commissioned by Facebook Executive Creative Director Josh Higgins. The statement is based on slide from a talk Josh has been giving. He wanted the message to be delivered in a bold, substantial and impactful way.
Worked closely with the creative minds at UnderConsideration to create a custom wordmark that would be used in the studios brand refresh.

Wall mural created specifically for all the Lowe's break rooms. The goal was to deliver the purpose statement and core values in a way that gets the employees excited to help people love where they live. Collaboration between the inhouse design department and the marketing agency Alice Blue.
Part of a group art show launched with the opening of the Montgomery Park satellite Office for Adidas USA. The show theme was East vs. West. I took the approach of simplicity and selected one word that represented both sides. Rivals, in all sports, bring out the best in each player. I chose to cut the word from Astro turf to represent the field of play.
I worked with The Sessions to create key artwork in the video announcement for the 2018 music festival Boston Calling. My contribution was custom lettering for the headliner Eminem - treated in the style of NY subway tile and the neon artwork for Natalie Portman & Friends as well as Pod Save America.

I was invited by the Netherlands based group High on Type to be apart of the 2017 Design Festival - All Eyes on Type. During the festival there are workshops and an exhibition of posters. Each designer was tasked with creating an original alphabet with a focus on the extraordinary letterform. My design took on a very organic free flowing aesthetic where each letter needs the ones around it to function.

We both brought our typographic passions to this one with a combo of Ambigram turned Fauxsaic. It was a pleasure passing this piece back and forth to create the final artwork that blended both of our styles perfectly.
AIGA San Antonio brought me down to visit with their local chapter and give a talk about my process. In conjunction with the event, I also held a vector lettering workshop.
Letterfarm is an exploration into type/lettering and collaboration. Currently existing as a social media acct there are things in the works to bring this to a physical space near you.
